“For we are Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good work, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

Our apologies......

Its been awhile since our last update....ok, its been since we have moved.  I must admit I thought doing a blog would be a bit easier, however, between school, work and kids I just don't have the energy.   Here is what I do have the time for...Facebook, so we created our own Flansburgs to Mexico Facebook page.  Here you can follow us via pictures, videos, status updates and notes from us.  The website link to our Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/flansburgstomexico?ref=hl.  Please feel free to email us at flansburgstorancho@hotmail.com if you don't have Facebook, but would like to receive updates from our family.

In the mean time here is a quick update on our family and what we are up too:

Bryan is currently working hard and a few different projects.  Construction on the second campus at La Roca was busy during the summer.  The project continues with Mateo working on walls, the coffee shop and we just received the trusses.  The roofs will begin being built starting in January.  Right now there is a current remodel going on in the office which is providing an opportunity for Bryan to not work with concrete, and he is very happy!  He also has a few of the Rancho kids that work with him and Nate, this has provided great tools and opportunity for mentoring and developing skills.

2nd quarter starts up in January for The School of Ministry that I am attending.  Last quarter consisted of New testament, Christology, the book of Acts and the prophetic ministry.  Many amazing experiences have happened and I look forward to the fruit that comes from the growth I am having spiritually.  I feel like new doors have been open and a great awakening is happening!  I also have been helping to facilitate at Café La Mission, which has brought me great joy.  I have the wonderful privilege to work with Rancho/Staff kids, teaching a trade such as running a small business and providing an opportunity to learn skills that will take them further once they are outside of our care.

The boys are doing awesome.  Micah has moved onto several 3rd grade classes, he loves to ride his bike all around, and has already made some really amazing friends.  Some great life lessons are being gained and he loves to come and work with me as well down at the café.  Silas is a ball of energy!  He goes to the all Spanish speaking daycare in the mornings with a great lady who watches over him and helps assist during that time, then brings him down and does a pre-school curriculum with him as well.  He is loved by many and is doing great!

Bryan and I did a juice fast recently and are looking forward to seeing the results of a full restoration of our bodies, soul and minds.  And looking forward to the benefits in the long term for our whole family.

We also have recently made a big decision in regards to what the next few years will look like for us....WE ARE STAYING!!  We don't feel like our time is finished and we know that there is much more in store for us!!  We don't have a return date but know that we will know when the time is right and continue to be in constant communication with Holy spirit and the leaders here.  There is so much to be done, and we are very excited that we feel so at home and loved so well!

We have been overwhelmed by the continued support by those who sponsor us, and the love of all who we call friends and family.  Constant contact by many has been amazing and so appreciated!

Prayer requests and needs:

1. Continued prayer over the boys.  That they continue to flourish amidst growth spiritually, intellectually and physically.

2. Direction and discernment on where our family is best needed in terms of ministry.

3.That we continue to see the beauty in all that surrounds us, and continue to experience new encounters with God via the ministries we are involved with.

4. Time for a trip home to see friends and family.

It has begun!  This amazing journey that our family is about to take is currently in full swing, we are remodeling, packing and saying our good-byes.  We feel so privileged to have been blessed by so many in our lives and can't wait to see what's in store for us over the next couple of years.

Here are some current pictures of what Byran has been working on while he has been gone.  We have to say thank you so much to the team from Millcreek that came down for the house build, and spent their extra time laying tiles, and painting the inside, as well as Bryans brother Marty who came down to help with multiple projects.  The team work from Nate with Bryan has been outstanding and such a blessing.  We appreciate all have helped so much.:

Currently we are packing all of our stuff at home and while we are gone there are some amazing teams that will be helping to finish some of the stuff we weren't able to get to.  We appreciate all that people have been doing for us!  Recently I was able to come down as well to help, and as I began to work, our place began to feel like home.  I began to picture the kids playing outside, and imagining our new life at Rancho, and clearly heard the Lord say "This is the home I have prepared for you".  Some amazing things are going to be happening and we are so excited!

Bryan will be setting off on his journey down the coast, with our good friend Alex, this Sunday the 23, and the boys and I will be flying out on the 27th.  In the mean time we have a few prayer requests to keep us going:

1. Safe travels for Bryan and Alex as they make the long journey.

2. That the border crossing with all our house will be smooth and they won't require us to unpack the whole thing to look inside.  (We are being very strategic about accounting for each box)

3. That the boys make an easy transition into new beds, rooms, and house.  And that they clearly see the Lords provision thru this journey.

4. We are still in need of monthly supporters to help us.  If you are interested in donating monthly or one time you can follow this link to our donation page: http://www.missiondispatch.org/our-missionaries/meet-the-missionaries/bryan--erin-flansburg---tijuana,-mexico.html

With that we leave you with a short quote from a recent bible study I did on Jonah by Priscilla Shirer "Interruptions only become positive when we consider the person or the circumstance interrupting to be more significant that that which currently occupies our attention.  Its it easy to say that God and His plans are our most essential endeavors.  It is entirely another thing to live like this is so."
